Position Overview
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the administration and availability of our network infrastructure
systems. You will lead, design, build, and monitor network connectivity and ensure reliable and consistent data
transmission while providing technical support to various departments and users with regards to load balancers,
LAN/WAN and cloud-based networks. In addition, you will also maintain network availability, resolve daily
incidents, and lead projects to completion. As a subject matter expert across various network and infrastructure
fabrics, this role also acts as a key resource for all areas of network infrastructure, promoting knowledge sharing
and career growth.

Primary Responsibilities

- Lead design discussions, resiliency analysis, disaster recovery, and troubleshooting customer incidents, ultimately delivering value to our clients.
- Analyze application flows through load balancers, interactions with infrastructure, and capacity analysis for a customer-facing production SaaS environment.
- Mentor junior network engineers on the team.
- Manage network operations and oversee incidents to resolution.
- Effectively deliver the defined objectives for projects working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization and external partners with an understanding of dependencies and risks.
- Collaborate cross functionally with stakeholders and vendors to deliver on solutions.
- Utilize lab or virtual environments to prove out potential solutions and present networking technical changes to a Change Advisory board.
- Follow best practices, workflows, processes, and technology practices to maintain and support network infrastructure and provide inputs to drive improvements.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and be available for after-hour support for incidents, drills, and project execution.
- Lead and design, implement, monitor, and troubleshooting Load Balancers (F5-LTM, AFW, etc.) solutions.
- Utilize deep understanding of networking protocols and VPN technologies to contribute to data center fabric design, F5 load balancers, Next-Generation Firewalls from Cisco, or similar.
- Perform maintenance, and upgrade of networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and network management systems.
- Utilize PowerShell, Python, Ansible etc. to create and update scripts to automate manual processes.
- Monitor network infrastructure using tools such as DataDog, LogicMonitor, or similar to ensure a healthy network service.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related
- 5+ years of experience.
- Preferred certifications: CCIE, CCDP, CISSP, or equivalent certifications.
- Ability to understand various network technologies, hardware, and software solutions for constantly evolving business needs.
- Proven experience monitoring network infrastructure using tools such as DataDog, LogicMonitor, or similar
- Deep understanding of networking protocols and VPN technologies (e.g. IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, QOS) to contribute to data center fabric design, F5 load balancers, Next-Generation Firewalls from Cisco, or similar.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues within a SaaS application and its underlying infrastructure
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide a team and foster collaboration across disciplines.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to take ownership of large, complex projects and deliver them with high levels of efficiency and quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Physical requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
- Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The pay range for this position is $98,200 - $182,400 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for a restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here Benefits Link. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location. Fully Remote (U.S. Only): This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements.
