This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. You must be available five days per week during designated work hours. The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. The Senior Director Implementation Ops leads Implementation functional areas and provide strategic focus to the client implementation experience. The Senior Director ensures that client perspectives are understood and addressed by implementation leaders, resulting in improved delivery of products and services.
The Senior Director is responsible for driving the Implementation strategy and its execution. They are also accountable for team performance, on time implementations, and customer satisfaction.
They can create scalability, implement process improvement and change strategies, identify expansion opportunities, and drive client satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Achieve high quality of service across the department, meeting agreed upon deliverables and ensuring key operational performance metrics are met.
- Accountable for fostering and promoting a strategic and effective partnership between Implementation and the Sales function.
- Set the vision and culture for continuous process and quality improvement.
- Lead, coach, motivate and develop management staff. Responsible for one-on-one meetings, performance appraisals, growth opportunities and attracting new talent.
- Develop, evaluate, and implement strategies to improve both our employees and the client experience.
- Develop strong business relationships throughout the organization.
- Work with Implementation directors and other centers to maintain consistent implementation model designs and processes and to drive change and improvement agendas across the Implementation function.
- May handle implementation delivery escalations that require senior management intervention to remedy any service failures.
- Determine organizational structure and development needs for their region. Create workforce forecasting and plans to ensure staffing for the Implementation function as well as the appropriate training plan and career – path development for our evolving business needs.
- Partner with implementation leaders and L&D to develop appropriate training that will directly improve the employee and client experience.
- Prepare and report on annual budget (headcount plan, productivity goals and capital expenditures). Manage expenses to the established budget/plan.
Education and Experience:
- Undergraduate degree is required, Masters degree is preferred.
- Minimum 10-15 years senior leadership experience (ideally in a payroll service bureau environment).
- Proven experience leading through significant growth.
- Experience driving cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
- Experience with analysis and project life cycle methodologies as well as an understanding of the implementation project life cycle is required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple resources across multiple locations who are working on complex projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong and proven ability to develop, coach and mentor team members.
- Strong collaborative, negotiating, influencing, leadership and decision-making skills.
Physical requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
- Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The base pay range for this position is $176,500 - $252,100 /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
