Fully Remote (U.S. Only):
This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. Position Overview
The Employee Experience Specialist I serves as the front door to HR, providing first-tier support to employees and people leaders across the full employee lifecycle. This role is centered on delivering a high-quality, consistent, and empathetic employee experience by handling a high volume of inquiries, navigating ambiguous questions, and enabling effective self-service where appropriate.
Employee Experience Specialists are power users of HR systems, trusted partners across HR functions, and advocates for the employee perspective. They review end-to-end processes that span multiple teams, support enterprise initiatives and product releases, and proactively identify opportunities to improve how employees interact with HR programs, tools, and services.
Primary Responsibilities
The below represents the primary duties of the position; additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Employee & Manager Support
- Serve as the first tier of support for all HR-related questions, resolving inquiries directly or routing with context when escalation is required
- Support employees at all stages of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, job changes, leaves, performance programs, and offboarding
- Handle a high volume of employee tickets across multiple communication channels while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and empathy
- Respond to ambiguous or complex questions by identifying root concerns and providing clear, actionable guidance
Employee Experience & Enablement
- Review HR processes from start to finish, including handoffs across teams, to ensure a seamless and positive employee experience
- Partner with HR teams to review enablement materials for enterprise initiatives to ensure readiness for employee support
- Act as a voice of employee experience during HR product releases, initiatives, and system changes
- Participate in testing and validation of system updates, identifying experience issues, downstream impacts, and opportunities for improvement
- Proactively identify gaps in documentation, education, or system functionality that impact employee experience
HR Systems & Self-Service
- Serve as a power user of HR systems (including HRIS) and related tools
- Educate employees and managers on self-service options, including anticipatory support and preventative guidance
- Monitor trends in inquiries to recommend improvements to knowledge articles, workflows, and system design
Communications & Listening Channels
- Monitor internal social platforms and communication channels to answer employee questions
- Identify emerging concerns or confusion
- Flag topics requiring an official talk track or broader communication
- Partner with HR and Communications teams to ensure consistent and accurate messaging
- Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Support HR programs (e.g., level-ups, reorgs, enterprise initiatives) while maintaining applicable controls and compliance standards (including SOX/SOC where required)
- Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of employee data in all interactions and systems
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in an HR, operations, support, or service-oriented role, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Prior experience supporting employees or customers through case management or ticketing systems preferred
- HRIS experience strongly preferred

- Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and think through non-standard requests

- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization
- Analytical and process-oriented thinking with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally to deliver consistent outcomes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Physical requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
- Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The base pay range for this position is $39,800 - $53,497/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
