From Brothers to Colleagues: A Shared Journey

For brothers and colleagues, Anthony and Joe, joining Paylocity wasn’t just a career move. It became something more personal.
Anthony first became aware of Paylocity by watching strong leaders join the organization and hearing about the new Rochester, NY office. At the time, he encouraged his twin brother, Joe, to take a closer look. Joe joined first, stepping into the June training class, and quickly began sharing what stood out for him.
It wasn’t just the role. It was the people, the leadership, and the way the team showed up for one another. That’s what stayed with him.
A few months later, Anthony was laid off from his previous role and found himself figuring out what came next. When Implementation leader, Matt Ploutz, learned about the change, he made the connection and encouraged him to explore Paylocity. Within a week, Anthony was interviewing.
From the very first conversation, it felt different. It didn’t feel transactional. It felt like an opportunity to grow and build something long term.
By the time Anthony joined the September training class, Joe had already started building momentum in his role. That allowed him to support Anthony as he got started, just as others had supported him.
Being twins at Paylocity has created a dynamic that is both unique and meaningful. They are able to talk through challenges, celebrate wins, and offer perspective when one of them is learning something new. At the same time, they have each built their own paths, relationships, and experiences across the organization.
One of the biggest reasons they both chose Paylocity was the leadership. Leaders like Jared Collins, Senior Director of Implementation, Matt Ploutz, Director of Implementation Services, and John Medrano, Senior Manager of Client Services, have built a culture that genuinely invests in people. They encourage growth, support development, and create an environment where collaboration feels natural.
The Rochester office has also been a key part of their experience. As the office has grown and evolved, it has created more opportunities to connect in person and build stronger relationships. The transition from a more remote environment into the office felt seamless, supported by strong communication and flexibility.
What stands out most is the support from their team. Whether it’s answering questions, offering feedback, or helping one another grow, there is a shared mindset of wanting everyone to succeed. That support extends beyond work as well. During a recent loss in their family, the compassion shown by leadership and teammates reinforced that Paylocity’s culture truly values people. That’s what continues to keep them here.
Both Anthony and Joe have clear goals for their future. Anthony is focused on growing into Implementation Leadership, while Joe is continuing to build his expertise in SaaS systems configuration. What makes the difference is being able to pursue that growth in a place where they feel supported every step of the way.
For them, Paylocity isn’t just where they work. It’s where they’ve been able to grow, support each other, and build something meaningful together.
