This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. You must be available five days per week during designated work hours.  The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. This may include adjustments to on-site requirements or schedule expectations, as necessary. 


 Position Overview

The Senior Product Manager for Authentication leads the end-to-end lifecycle of high-impact security and authentication products, guiding strategy, roadmap development and execution with a customer-first mindset. This role identifies our most valuable problems to solve, leverages deep customer and market insights, and defines clear priorities to deliver secure, intuitive solutions that algin with business goals. You will own the product vision, drive innovation and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ship and iterate on high-quality features that have measurable impact. 


With expertise in the authentication and security landscape, you will shape product experiences and implementation approaches that protect system integrity while meeting customer needs. Success in this role requires strategic thinking, responsible ownership, curiosity and the ability to both work independently and lead others. You will continuously stay current on emerging security technologies and standards, using experimentation and learnings to enhance and evolve our authentication offerings. This role reports to the Group Product Manager for User Access.

Own the product roadmap and manage features from ideation to delivery, ensuring high-quality, timely execution across the entire product lifecycle. Your duties will include making tradeoff decisions and prioritizing features based on their significance to tour customers and our security standards.

Partner with key stakeholders such as Application and Information Security, Legal and Partner Ingegrations to uncover opportunities to deliver value.

  • Navigate complexities of product and partner dependencies, risks and milestones across multiple teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Prioritize and execute the most impactful features that align with customer needs, business goals, and security standards. Make data-driven tradeoff decisions to ensure successful product outcomes.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Sales and Marketing to ensure seamless product development, delivery, and launch. Foster collaboration across teams to drive clarity and alignment on goals, timelines, and execution.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy, ensuring the product stays ahead of market trends and customer expectations.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to align on product goals and ensure all requirements are integrated into the roadmap and execution plan. Build strong, trust-based relationships with internal and external customers, partners, and vendors to deliver on business objectives.
  • Define and track key metrics for product success, ensuring the team has clear visibility on progress and performance. Use insights from data to drive continuous product improvements, ensuring the product consistently meets business goals and customer needs.
  • Provide strategic leadership in product planning and decision-making. Ensure alignment between product initiatives and broader company objectives, while guiding less experienced product managers and cross-functional team members.

Required Experience: 

  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in Product Management, with a proven track record of successfully building and launching authentication products or identity life cycle management and governance or CIAM products.
  • Must have prior experience working on cloud-based SaaS or PaaS software and a track record of delivery at high velocity.
  • Must have applied knowledge of identity protocols such as SAML and OIDC and identity federation, SCIM, and password-less identity standards like FIDO2 and WebAuthN.
  • Applied technical knowledge of industry-leading identity standards is preferred.
  • Must have experience working with external partners and vendors to make build vs. buy decisions.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience working with agile methodology to drive product development and delivery, including developing user stories/epics.
  • MBA or Masters in computer science, or information security is preferred.
  • Exceptional ability to execute product roadmaps, balancing strategic vision with tactical delivery. Ability to prioritize effectively and make tradeoff decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to evangelize product vision and strategy to both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gain buy-in.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, taking ownership of product direction and execution while driving clarity and alignment across teams.
  • Expertise in using data and metrics to inform product decisions, track success, and optimize product performance.

 Physical requirements 

  • Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day. 
  • Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The base pay range for this position is $130,100/yr - $241,500/yr  /yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
