With a position in Sales & Marketing, you’ll strengthen our relationships with clients, anticipate their needs, and think outside the box to unlock new possibilities.

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements.  You must be available five days per week during designated work hours.  The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. This may include adjustments to on-site requirements or schedule expectations, as necessary. 

As an Internal Events Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing the company’s internal events portfolio and a portion of the incentive program experiences, from initial planning to post-event analysis. This role requires hands-on involvement in managing live event production, driving internal engagement strategy, liaising with stakeholders, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the successful delivery of all internal events and a portion of the incentive program components. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, ensuring events and incentive experiences meet the company’s strategic goals and deliver exceptional experiences for both internal and external audiences.  

Key Responsibilities:

Event Project Management 

  • Oversee internal event planning, execution, and follow-up. Manage the end-to-end process from assisting with developing the annual internal events strategy to post-event reporting. 
  • Lead the full lifecycle of event planning and execution, overseeing strategy development through post event analysis to ensure seamless delivery and measurable impact. 
  • Own and manage the full internal events calendar, including AllHands, leadership summits, employee engagement events, training meetings, internal recognition programs, and a portion of the Incentive Portfolio. 
  • Assist the Sr. Manager with incentive program planning including qualification criteria, communication strategy, participant tracking, and post program analysis. 
  • Overall responsible and accountable for relationships and meeting expectations with key stakeholders and product delivery.   
  • Coordinate and execute multiple aspects of live event production, including AV requirements, transportation, F&B, staffing, security protocols, and other event logistics. 
  • Manage all AV and technical production needs, including reviewing and interpreting AV quotes, labor estimates, equipment specifications, and union guidelines; developing comprehensive run-of-show documents; collaborating with internal Multimedia partners on presentation decks, videos, and graphics; and providing strategic guidance and feedback to ensure all technical and creative assets meet event objectives and quality standards. 
  • Oversee onsite technical execution, including leading AV setup, rehearsals, and show calling; directing production crews and coordinating cues; troubleshooting issues proactively; ensuring content and equipment readiness; and driving seamless delivery of all live event components. 
  • Ensure all events meet established deadlines and quality standards, including budget management, vendor sourcing, contract negotiations, and talent/executive coordination. 
  • Owner of overall service delivery strategy. 
  • Develop and conduct site inspections as required and follow up with site inspection notes, revised estimated budget, program itinerary and program timeline. 
  • Facilitate the creative direction and fulfillment of program related participant and stakeholder communications materials, including, but not limited to save the dates, registration announcements, room gifts, pre-trip and onsite materials, including program signage and participant name badges. 
  • Develop event and incentive playbooks, frameworks, and standardized processes that scale with organizational needs. 
  • Responsible for leading, developing, and advancing a team of 2–3 people, providing coaching, mentorship, and growth opportunities to build skills, elevate performance, and support long term career progression. 

Vendor and Venue Management 

  • Source destination, hotel and venue options that meet the goals and objectives of the internal event or incentive program. 
  • Negotiate and purchase ground transportation, entertainment, and décor elements via preferred Destination Management Companies and/or direct vendors. 
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers, including AV, catering, transportation, and staffing agencies. 
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with venues and external agencies, leveraging strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms, ensure compliance with organizational standards, and thoroughly evaluate legal, financial, and operational clauses to mitigate risk. 
  • Ensure all vendors deliver on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of service.  
  • Oversee Procurement, contracting and compliance processes for selected vendors.  

Stakeholder Collaboration 

  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and executive leadership, to align event objectives with broader business goals. 
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand needs, develop innovative event experience concepts, and deliver high-impact experiences. 
  • Partner with HR/People & Culture and Internal Communications to ensure alignment with cultural, engagement, and organizational priorities. 
  • Support leaders with agenda development, meeting content preparation and collection, run of show development, and internal communication rollouts tied to event experiences.  
  • Must demonstrate strong Executive Presence, including confident and clear communication, the ability to influence and build trust with senior leadership, sound decision making under pressure, and a polished, composed demeanor in high visibility situations. 

Onsite Event Management 

  • Travel to events to supervise all onsite logistics, ensuring smooth execution. Oversee setup and breakdown, troubleshoot issues, and ensure overall satisfaction of clients, customers, and internal teams. 
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams, and vendors to ensure all logistical aspects run seamlessly. 

Budget Management 

  • Develop, track, and reconcile assigned event budgets. Ensure financial objectives are met through cost-effective resource planning, forecasting and allocation. 
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on financial performance and overall program ROI. 
  • Reconcile all final billing and ensure timely submission to Finance. 
  • Ensure the timely payment of all supplier/vendor bills and oversee the invoice payment of deposits to ensure payments are received on time. 

Event Metrics and Reporting 

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for each assigned internal event and incentive program, including attendance, engagement, and ROI. 
  • Gather post-event data, analyze performance, and provide comprehensive reports and recommendations for future improvements. 
  • Lead post-event follow-up, ensuring email communication and measurement plans are executed. 
  • Assist with helping to track incentive program qualification progress and prepare reporting for Sales and Leadership teams. 

Communication 

  • Conduct regular planning update calls with leadership and program stakeholders, addressing any concerns proactively. 
  • Present event and incentive outcomes and optimization opportunities to leadership, ensuring continuous improvement of program processes. 
  • Provide tactical operational input that supports team development, retention and growth. 

Required Qualifications:

Experience and Education

  • 5+ years of experience in internal corporate events and incentive program management. 
  • 2+ years of team management experience.  
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Travel/Tourism, Marketing or a related field preferred. 
  • Proven experience in managing internal corporate meetings, leadership events, employee engagement programs, and incentive travel. 

Skills

  • Strong people management skills. 
  • Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple large programs simultaneously, and with speed. 
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and direction, and demonstrating confidence and effectiveness when working through ambiguity. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting to stakeholders and executives. 
  • Effective time management, with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines. 
  • Experience in budget management and financial reconciliation. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and a plus is experience in Wrike.  
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, to vendors, stakeholders and Executive leaders. 
  • Skilled in proactive problem-solving, anticipating issues, initiating solutions, and resolving challenges effectively—while providing strong change-management support. 
  • Experience working cross functionally with HR, Comms, Sales, and executive leadership. 
  • Familiarity with internal communication principles and change management support.

Technical Proficiency

  • Experience with event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce). 
  • Familiarity with current event technology, including virtual platforms, mobile apps, and attendee engagement tools is a plus. 
  • Advanced proficiency in AV and technical production tools, including the ability to interpret AV quotes and labor specifications, understand union guidelines, develop and manage run-of-show documents, oversee show calling, and collaborate with Multimedia teams to produce high quality presentation, video, and graphic assets. 

Travel

  • Up to 30% travel is required for onsite event and incentive program management, with occasional increases during peak periods

The base pay range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
