As part of the Sales & Marketing team, you’ll help us solve challenges and succeed as you grow and understand the unique needs of our clients and tailor easy-to-use solutions to deliver the performance they need.

Position Overview

This role plays a key role in supporting the Solutions Consulting team throughout the sales and client engagement process. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology and client service, and who aspire to grow into a full Solutions Consultant role. The role collaborates closely with internal teams to understand client needs and help position Paylocity’s solutions—primarily supporting existing clients and smaller-scale opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with clients and prospects to deliver compelling solution presentations, ensure a high-quality experience, and effectively communicate Paylocity’s value proposition. 
  • Support and participate in webinars and other client-facing events. 
  • Assist the Enablement team with ad hoc tasks and cross-functional initiatives to support team operations and project execution. 
  • Partner with Solutions Consultants to learn how to prepare for product engagement, discovery and solution presentations. 
  • Maintain foundational knowledge of Paylocity’s product suite, including key features and value propositions. 
  • Provide input on client challenges and contribute ideas for potential solutions. 

Collaboration and Interaction 

  • Work closely with Solutions Consultants, Sales, and Service teams to learn, support and enhance the client experience. 
  • Coordinate with other GTM functions to provide input and gain exposure to brand messaging and marketing lead generation strategies. 
  • Attend internal training sessions and team meetings to build product and industry knowledge. 

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required, degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a client-facing or operational role required. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. 

Physical requirements 

  • Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day. 
  • Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $54,700-$101,700/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position offers a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
