As part of the Sales & Marketing team, you’ll help us solve challenges and succeed as you grow and understand the unique needs of our clients and tailor easy-to-use solutions to deliver the performance they need.

With a position in Sales & Marketing, you’ll strengthen our relationships with clients, anticipate their needs, and think outside the box to unlock new possibilities.

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements.  Please be advised that our preference will be for candidates local to our Schaumburg office.  You must be available five days per week during designated work hours.  The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. This may include adjustments to on-site requirements or schedule expectations, as necessary. 

Position Overview

The Deal Desk Analyst plays a key role in supporting the sales organization by providing strategic and analytical guidance to our sales team. A background in customer service, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams are essential for success in this role.

• Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and objectives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and product management, to ensure deal terms and conditions are accurate and compliant.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the deal desk function.

• Assist the sales team by providing guidance on pricing strategies, deal structures, and product configurations for customer proposals, including discounted pricing and non-standard contract terms.

• Work closely with the sales team to configure pricing models based on customer needs, ensuring compliance with pricing guidelines and profitability targets.

• Assist with contract negotiations as needed.

• Shepherding large opportunities through various pre-sale to post-sale processes, in collaboration with Finance, Legal, Implementation, and Service.

• Ensuring deals adhere to timelines while managing through the sales process.

• Continuously evaluate and improve deal desk processes to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and reduce turnaround times for pricing and contract approvals.

• Maintain accurate records of deals, pricing, and contract terms for audit purposes, and ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in deal desk, sales operations, finance, or related field.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.

• Familiarity with HCM software and solutions (e.g., HRIS, Payroll, Talent Management) is highly desirable.

• Proven ability to collaborate with multiple departments (sales, finance, legal, product, etc.) and manage competing priorities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.

• Proficiency in using SFDC CRM/CPQ, DocuSign CLM, MSFT Excel, and Power BI.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Physical requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.

• Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The base pay range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
