Shari Simpson, EdD, is the host of HR Mixtape and a senior thought leadership leader at Paylocity. With more than two decades of experience in human resources, including training, talent, payroll, and employee relations, she brings curiosity, candor, and real-world perspective to every episode. Shari holds a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Innovation, as well as an MBA, an MHRM, and a SHRM-SCP certification. HR Mixtape was created as a space for honest conversations about leadership, work, and the systems that shape our workplaces. When she’s not behind the mic or working with leaders, Shari is a proud military mom, a lifelong reader, and a committed partner to a fire chief.
