The Area Vice President of Product Management – Platforms is a critical senior leadership role responsible for shaping and scaling our core technology platforms to accelerate development velocity, promote cross-product reuse, and deliver seamless integration across the enterprise. This role will lead a global team of product managers focused on enabling platform capabilities that empower internal product teams and ultimately drive exceptional end-user experiences and business outcomes.

This leader must possess a deep understanding of technology and platform architecture, paired with strong product thinking and the ability to connect complex technical initiatives with high-impact business goals. Success in this role will be measured by improvements in platform adoption, developer satisfaction, cross-product reuse, and system performance at scale.

You’ll serve as the connective tissue between engineering, architecture, product lines, and business stakeholders—ensuring our platforms are not only technically sound but strategically aligned with the broader goals of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for our core platform products (e.g., APIs, shared services, data pipelines, content management, mobile platform, authentication, integrations, etc.).
  • Drive increased reuse of platform components across product teams and improve internal developer satisfaction and productivity.
  • Partner closely with engineering leadership to ensure platform scalability, reliability, and performance at high transaction volumes.
  • Lead global teams of product managers to define, prioritize, and deliver platform capabilities that meet the needs of multiple product lines.
  • Serve as a thought leader and translator—bridging complex technical conversations with non-technical business leaders to articulate value and impact.
  • Define and track key success metrics such as platform adoption, internal NPS/developer satisfaction, performance, cost efficiency, and time-to-market improvements for consuming teams.
  • Promote platform thinking across the organization, educating teams on how to adopt and contribute to scalable, extensible, and composable technology foundations.

Who You Are:

  • A seasoned technical product leader with experience owning platform and infrastructure capabilities in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
  • Highly effective at aligning long-term platform vision with immediate product and engineering delivery needs.
  • Obsessed with internal customer experience—especially how developers consume and build on platform capabilities.
  • Adept at measuring what matters and creating KPIs that drive reuse, reduce duplication, and increase velocity.
  • A strong communicator and influencer who can simplify complexity and secure buy-in from business and technical stakeholders alike.
  • Passionate about coaching and developing high-performing teams and driving a product culture grounded in excellence and empathy.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in product management, including 8+ years leading technical or platform product teams.
  • Proven success managing large-scale platforms that support high transaction volumes and multiple internal consumers.
  • Strong track record of improving platform adoption and developer satisfaction through thoughtful product leadership and stakeholder engagement.
  • Deep technical fluency—able to have informed discussions on architecture, APIs, data infrastructure, and other foundational tech areas.
