San Francisco Waives 2020 HCSO Reporting

May 04, 2021

The City of San Francisco is waiving the 2020 Health Care Security Ordinance (HCSO) reporting requirement.

2020 Reporting Requirement Waived

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted to waive the requirement for employers to report on compliance with the Health Care Security Ordinance (HSCO). The reporting requirement had previously been delayed from April 30 to at least October 31, 2021.

Covered employers are still required to make any required health care expenditures for the first quarter by April 30, 2021. The HCSO requires employers with 100 or more employees to provide $3.18 per hour worked in 2021 toward health care coverage and employers with 20 to 99 employees are required to pay $2.12 per hour worked in 2021.
