Steve Beauchamp

Chief Executive Officer

A company is only as good as its people. And when I joined the company as CEO in 2007, I was excited by what I saw. I saw a company filled with incredibly talented people, all of whom were energized and ready to join me in taking Paylocity to the next level. I’m fortunate enough to be surrounded by the best people in the business — from our leadership team to our software engineers, sales team and all of our team members helping our clients every day. And they’ve all been with me every step of the way.

Together, we scaled the company nationally and went public in 2014. We relocated our national headquarters to a new office in Schaumburg, IL. We’ve done a lot of great things together. But the thing that makes me most proud is looking at the strong internal culture we’ve built. Because not only do our employees deserve it, our clients do as well. It all stems from my belief that a great culture is the key to delivering an exceptional client experience. And when you look at Paylocity, that’s what we do best. We partner with our clients to help them with whatever they need today so we can move forward together toward a tomorrow that is full of opportunity.

I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Business Administration from Queen's University — both located in Ontario, Canada, which is where I’m from. (Proud Canadian that I am.) When I’m not working, I spend my free time with my wife and our four kids.

In fact, I often ask them for their reaction to product and marketing ideas as a way of gauging their appeal to Gen Z. I strongly believe interacting with as many different people as possible allows a leader to develop a broader perspective and ultimately make better decisions. So in a way, I have my kids to thank for that too.

Michael Haske

President and Chief Operating Officer

I joined Paylocity in 2007 as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing and spearheaded a national expansion strategy, which ultimately led to an expansion of my own role. Today, as President and COO, I oversee sales, marketing, and operations. That means everything I do revolves around aligning go-to-market sales and marketing activities with our operational teams, because they’re the ones focused on delivering Paylocity’s implementation and service experience to our customers countrywide. So that's my focus as well. For all our teams, ​"industry-leading"​ isn’t just a goal, it’s the standard we hold ourselves to — and quite successfully.

I’ve spent my whole career in the payroll and HR industry, but I haven’t always lived in Illinois. I’m Michigan born and bred. It’s where I grew up, and it’s where I went to school, completing my undergrad work at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with degrees in both marketing and finance. When I’m not doing what I love at Paylocity, you can find me on the couch with my wife Nancy and our French Bulldog Maizey Blue watching a University of Michigan football game. Or I’m in a galaxy far, far away, catching the latest ​Star Wars​ installment.

Toby Williams

Chief Financial Officer

When I came to Paylocity in 2017, I was excited to contribute my software, corporate finance, and strategy experience (mixed with a bunch of payroll and HCM industry experience) to make an impact for our business, our clients, and our employees. Today, I lead our teams across finance, accounting, investor relations, corporate development, tax operations, legal, information security, and procurement. As we all work hard to #EarnItEveryDay, I’m passionate about continuing to develop our culture while helping drive our growth (#GrowthFuelsOpportunity).  

I’ve held multiple leadership roles throughout my career in operations, product, strategy, and finance, but I started out as a corporate lawyer and investment banker.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Houghton College and my Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from ​The​ Ohio State University (Go Bucks!). When I’m not at work, you can generally find my wife and me enjoying the outdoors together — hiking, running, paddle boarding, skiing, kayaking, or “getting walked” by our dog, George.

Ted Gaty

Senior Vice President of Product and Technology

As Senior Vice President of Product and Technology, I take a lot of pleasure in overseeing all aspects of Paylocity's innovative software solutions and infrastructure. I’ve got several goals that keep me focused strategically: accelerating product speed to market, scaling the organization to expand product development capabilities, scaling our infrastructure, moving Paylocity toward a mobile-first development paradigm, and expanding the actionable analytics we provide to customers. There’s no such thing as having too many goals, so long as you take them one day at a time. 

My industry experience spans more than 20 years, and I’ve celebrated a number of successes throughout my career, like leading a global team of more than 1,000 technologists to fuel nearly $1.5 billion in revenue and being recognized in the InformationWeek 500 by pioneering a firm's entrance into mobile solutions in 2011. I’m a proud native of upstate New York but fell in love with the Midwest, first, in Michigan, where I earned a bachelor's degree in economics at Kalamazoo College. While there, I also joined the college's Hall of Fame as part of the NCAA Division III championship men’s tennis teams in 1992 and 1993. Then, I fell in love with Illinois, where I earned my master's degree in Information Technology at Northwestern University.

When I’m not delivering on our customers’ product needs, you can find me on the football field or spending time with my wife, walking our three dogs.

Cheryl Johnson

Chief Human Resources Officer

As Chief Human Resources Officer at Paylocity, I have the privilege of overseeing strategy for our HR, culture, client training, and employment brand. I joined the team in 2018 and brought with me more than 20 years of progressive HR experience, much of it focused specifically on developing strategies for high-growth companies as a way of shaping and scaling their culture. It’s the kind of experience that comes in handy at Paylocity, given the importance we place on our own internal culture. I’m passionate about co-elevating the HR community as critical drivers of a better workplace for all, and I’ve devoted my entire career to enabling progressive organizational mindsets and breaking down cross-functional silos, because I really believe it helps us achieve more ​together​.

With leadership experience in a wide range of industries, I’ve been fortunate enough to have earned a reputation for being a thought leader in the “next-gen” HR space, and that’s led me to a number of speaking engagements. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a focus in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Toledo. 

Mark Kinsey

Senior Vice President of Operations

As Senior Vice President of Operations, my role is centered around driving a seamless service experience to our clients. I do that by leading the operational and customer support efforts for Paylocity. I’ve always believed that if something is worth doing, it’s worth overdoing. So whether I’m at work or away from work, I’m always “all in.” My career exemplifies that belief. Whether as the President of Online Data Collection, the Head of North American Consumer Operations, or as a global product leader (among many other roles), I’ve enjoyed numerous opportunities to build operational and general management leadership experience.  

It all started back at Ball State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance, then a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University. I tend to stay in motion, and when I’m not deep into my work at Paylocity, I’m enjoying a family activity or playing a sport of some kind.

Tauhidah Shakir

Vice President of Human Resources, Chief Diversity Officer

As Vice President of Human Resources, Chief Diversity Officer, I have the privilege of leading our HR function with an inclusive lens while developing strategies and programs that continue to foster a diverse and equitable workplace. Prior to joining the team in 2020, I spent more than 20 years providing strategic HR support; developing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) programs; and coaching leaders across all areas of the organization. I’m passionate about cultivating a workplace where employees can bring their whole selves to work and feel safe, valued, and respected. I’m a firm believer that diversity makes us all better.

I’m an HR person at heart. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, from the University of North Texas and am a Certified Executive Leadership Coach. My role allows me to leverage my personal and professional experiences to make a difference.

Andy Cappotelli

Chief Accounting Officer

A native of upstate New York, I kickstarted my career in leadership with a “Big Four” accounting firm in the role of senior manager, and I’ve held one leadership role after another ever since. The path that led me to Paylocity wasn’t a straight line, but it was exciting and fulfilling. I spent some time with Gibraltar, then Black and Decker, before finally making the leap to the payroll industry. After 11 years in financial leadership roles, including a stint as Vice President of a payroll and HCM company called Trinet, I found my inevitable home at Paylocity in 2018.

Today, I’m honored to serve as Chief Accounting Officer for this company that has a shared vision of moving ​Forward Together​ with our customers. I love leading our accounting, tax, and financial reporting functions, because it lets me lean on all my accounting, corporate finance, and industry experience. Mostly, though, I love the people I work with.

I earned both my Bachelors in Business Administration in Accounting and Masters of Business Administration from Saint Bonaventure University and am also a Certified Public Accountant. When I’m not doing math, I’m doing the whole “dad” thing, playing the game of life (not the board game, the real-life version) and trying to maintain my legendary fly fisherman status. “Legendary” being a relative term, of course.

Rob Goldstein

Vice President of Technical Services

I started my career programming for and installing margining, accounting, and regulatory reporting systems for the futures and options trading industry. Then, I spent several years working for a software consultancy firm, as well as a Fortune 500 print service company, before finally joining Paylocity in 2005. Today, I’m proud to lead my team through the company's unparalleled growth. As Vice President of Technical Services, I lead a varied group of professionals who are truly unique to the human capital management (HCM) industry. These are talented and experienced software engineers, accountants, and benefits and time and labor consultants focused on implementing, customizing, and servicing systems and products that make life easier for our customers. 

I graduated with honors from Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree in economics and political science, and earned my master's degree with distinction in management information systems from DePaul University. Even though most of the time, my head is focused on our clients and my team in a skyscraper in suburban Chicago, my heart is likely on a mountain bike somewhere in the middle of a forest with my wife and son, set on the idea of a juicy IPA waiting for me at the end of the ride.

Christina Moriarty

Vice President of Tax Services

I’ve spent my entire career in the payroll industry. I first started as a payroll manager before taking some time off to start a family. When I came back to the industry, it was with a small, local provider. Then, in 2008, I came to Paylocity as Director of Tax. Today, I serve as VP of Tax Services, and I manage a team of professionals who are responsible for compliance, tax filings, deposits, notice resolution, amendments, and payroll operations. 

I like to stay busy. In fact, I’m just as busy outside the office as I am inside. I play an active role in advocating for our customers as a member of the IRS Reporting Agent Forum and National Reporting Consortium, while also keeping current on upcoming legislative changes. And to top it off, I’m a mother of three teenagers, which means I know what it’s like to juggle a million things at once.

John Taylor

Vice President of Client Services

At Paylocity, there’s nothing more important to us than our clients. So it’s my pleasure to serve as Vice President of Client Services. In my role, I lead all aspects of the client experience, helping our clients maximize their use of Paylocity solutions on a daily basis. Before I joined Paylocity, I spent more than 20 years in the payroll and HCM industries as a leader in HR outsourcing. Early in my career at Paychex, I administered S125s, FSAs, and HSAs as a leader in the HR outsourcing division. I also was the Regional Manager for the Southwest payroll operation, servicing more than 70,000 customers. Most recently, I was the Director of Shared Services and led the Data Analytics, Real Estate, Project Management office, and Client Communications teams.  

I’m a native of upstate New York and received my bachelor’s degree in business economics from State University of New York College (SUNY) at Oneonta. When I’m not at the office, I spend most of my time exercising or with my family. Since I spend so much time driving my kids to and from activities, they now think I’m the best personal Uber driver in Chicago!

Josh Scutt

Vice President of Sales

Superior service and industry-leading technology are the hallmark of Paylocity — our people and our products. And as Vice President of Sales, I’m focused on capitalizing on both. I came to Paylocity with more than two decades of payroll experience, which helps me lead sales nationally for each of our segments: enterprise, mid-market, and small business. Throughout my career, I’ve always been passionate about sales as well as leadership. Before Paylocity, I served as Vice President of Enterprise Sales at National Cash Register and successfully led a team that serviced companies with $3.5 billion to $100 million in annual revenue. Before that, I managed a winning team of more than 350 leaders and 1,800 direct sales associates.

Travel comes just with the territory in sales, so naturally, I’ve got roots all over the country. I’m a native of upstate New York. I’m a proud 1994 graduate of Northern Michigan University (go Wildcats!). And I currently live near Atlanta with my wife Amy and our two daughters, Alexa and Erica. In my free time, you can find me hanging with my “home” team, relaxing with my family in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Amber Livingston

Vice President and General Counsel

At Paylocity, I oversee our legal function and lead the company’s legal initiatives. My job is to anticipate potential issues before they become actual issues so that Paylocity can focus on doing what it does best — delivering the highest quality technology and service to our clients.

Before I joined Paylocity, I was the Corporate and Securities Counsel at Motorola Solutions, and I started my career as a corporate and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) attorney at Skadden in Chicago.

I grew up in a small town in South Carolina and moved to Atlanta for college. I received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Emory University and a law degree from Northwestern Law. When I’m not tackling legal matters for Paylocity, you can find my husband and me chasing after our two busy toddlers or checking out a new restaurant in Chicago (pre-COVID of course!).

Chris Westfall

Vice President and Head of Channels and Alliances

I’m responsible for Channels and Alliances at Paylocity, which is really just another way of saying that I build bridges for Paylocity. It’s what I do best. In my role, I lean heavily upon my global experience in building partner networks, as well as my experience in software, which spans a variety of industries, from automotive and financial services to education and healthcare. It also helps that I have extensive experience delivering sales, services, and support through indirect channels and alliances.

I’ve enjoyed working in large organizations in my career, but I’ve also successfully launched a couple of technology start-ups and have the privilege of serving on a number of boards as well, including advisory boards at some of the best technology companies on the planet. On a personal note, I also served for the International Freeskiers and Snowboarders Association (skiing is a bit of a passion of mine). So whether I’m in the office or on the snow, I’m energized by building bridges. Both at work and on a mountain with my “ski family,” I thrive connecting with people around a common interest. In terms of education, I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Puget Sound and a Master of Arts in Media Studies from the University of Iowa.

Jay Schedler

Vice President of Real Estate and Procurement

When I joined Paylocity in 2013 as Vice President of Human Resources, we were expanding into new spaces I had the privilege of helping to design. We started with floor plans and workspaces for our new corporate headquarters in Schaumburg, IL, and then moved on to our new offices in Lake Mary, FL, and Meridian, ID. In 2018, I transitioned to Vice President of Real Estate and Procurement.

My 25-year career as an HR executive has included wide-ranging experience, working alongside other executives to align HR and business strategies. I’ve developed services, leadership, and operations capabilities for global business services, operations, call centers, and information technology business units. 

In addition to my time in HR, I also have expertise in business management, large-scale project and program management, and steering all aspects of mergers and acquisitions integrations. I hold a Master of Science in Organizational Development and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources from Northeastern Illinois University.

Holly Fulp

Vice President of Corporate Development

As Vice President and Head of Corporate Development at Paylocity, I partner with our leadership team in the development and execution of Paylocity's strategy. I joined the team in 2018 with significant experience in strategy, focused on the software/tech sector, as well as corporate finance and investment banking, including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and debt financings.

A native North Carolinian, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy with a minor in Economics from Duke University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Outside the office, I put my strategic mind to work thinking about how I can spend more time outdoors. Different geographies. Different seasons. Each one prime for a different activity: hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, sea kayaking, snorkeling. I love them all.

Gavin Klingonsmith

Vice President of Business Operations

As Vice President of Business Operations, I ensure that our clients’ needs remain at the heart of everything we do in operations and sales. It’s a matter of continually improving our processes and implementation. Before becoming a vice president, I drove transformation initiatives and measured customer experience at Paylocity. I have deep experience in data acquisition, business process improvement, and operations leadership. I’ve managed remote operations that supported international stakeholders, driven global integration efforts, and directed ongoing data collection efforts that leveraged a field force of more than 2,500 employees. 

Originally from the San Francisco Bay area, I graduated from Brigham Young University and currently live near Salt Lake City with my wife, son, and three daughters. As someone who constantly strives for personal improvement, I may be most proud of having nearly perfected the art of the “dad joke.” I measure my success in 17 years of performances and not a single laugh from any of my children.

Mitch Hood

Vice President IT Operations and Chief Information Security Officer

As Vice President of Information Technology Operations and Chief Information Security Officer, I oversee all aspects of information technology and security at Paylocity. From data management and network operations to end-user computing and software release management, my team is responsible for scaling and maintaining Paylocity’s infrastructure.

Prior to Paylocity, I served as Senior Director of Client Implementations and Services at CVS Health, where I was responsible for servicing new health plan clients onto the company’s pharmacy benefit management (PBM) application platforms. I also spent more than 10 years managing infrastructure operations, technology solutions, and 24/7/365 support in a complex, global technology environment. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the DeVry Institute of Technology. I’m a life-long learner who loves being outside and most interested in trying new things and gaining new experiences.

Ryan Glenn

Vice President of FP&A and Investor Relations

I joined Paylocity in 2013, and today I lead our finance function: budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning, that sort of thing. It’s my responsibility to manage interactions with the investment community, which means communicating the financial results and the strategic direction of the company to our investors, who mean a lot to me personally, as I was a key member of the team who helped take Paylocity public in 2014. 

I earned a Bachelor of Science Summa Cum Laude from the University at Buffalo and a Master of Business Administration from Cornell, and have spent my whole career working closely with companies on various accounting and reporting topics related to equity offerings and other capital markets transactions. Outside the office, I spend most of my time with my wife and two daughters. But I also try to sneak in a few rounds of golf here and there whenever I can.

Dan Hassenplug

Vice President of User Experience

I joined Paylocity in 2014 to lead the team that would help scale Paylocity’s user experience (UX) practice. The incredible growth we’ve seen since our IPO has given me the opportunity to expand the team as well as my career. As Vice President of UX, I’m focused on leading our team of product designers and design system engineers, while advising across the entire product suite. It’s my job to ensure that our customers have modern products that are easy to use.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about design and technology. Whether it was copying hockey logos into notebooks as a kid or getting my first computer and learning website design at a young age, it was inevitable that I majored in design in college. My career has been focused on creating experiences for websites big and small. And since I love to build, you can find me tackling the latest LEGO sets with my two boys when I’m not at the office or doing something that gets the blood flowing: riding my bike, putting in some time at the gym, or some other form of fun outdoor activity.

Jan LeTourneau

Vice President of Implementation

I came to Paylocity in 2019 to focus on how we scale implementation to meet the growth of our business. My goal is to maximize employee engagement and ensure great client experiences. Really, my whole role is centered on making our employees and our customers more successful. While I'm new to the payroll industry, my experience in executive leadership spans 15 years. I’ve spent my career ​driving organizational change through strategic planning, performance and program management, and talent development with demonstrated success on a local and global scale.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Illinois State University. And when I’m not at the office, I’m either volunteering in our community or deep in the grips of a good book. I love reading, and just one book club isn’t enough for me. So I’m in two.

Adam McElhinney

Chief Data Science Officer and Vice President of Insights

As Chief Data Science Officer and Vice President of Insights, I take all the data around how our products are used to find opportunities to unlock new value for our clients. To me and my team, all the numbers and charts translate to insights that drive new products and functionality enhancements. 

Before I came to Paylocity, I was Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer for a technology company, where I led a team of 75 data scientists who built cutting-edge industrial data analytics tools. In my career, my research has led to 18 patent filings in machine learning, the Internet of Things (IOT), software engineering, and Big Data technology. I’ve also had the honor of being recognized by the Illinois Technology Association (ITA) as the 2018 Technologist of the Year.  

I earned my master's degree in statistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago and have undergraduate degrees in mathematics, economics, and political science from Indiana University Bloomington. Outside Paylocity, I’m an adjunct professor in the Computer Science and Mathematics departments at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). When I’m not at work, you can usually find me enjoying many of Chicago’s great restaurants or at home trying to replicate my favorite chefs’ dishes.
