Today, Paylocity was ranked among the G2 Best Software Products list and Best HR Products lists in the G2 2022 Best Software Awards, making both lists for the third consecutive year. By combining consumer-oriented experiences with an automated all-in-one platform that streamlines and automates manual HR tasks, Paylocity clients are seeing better results in retention and engagement—ultimately driving business success. The company was also ranked on four additional G2 Best Software Award lists, including Highest Satisfaction Products, which is directly related to positive client experience.
“I can say with 100% certainty that Paylocity is head and shoulders above everyone else,” says Sara Kennedy, Director of People & Culture at Martin Resorts. “Knowing that I had a dedicated support team when I called and that I wouldn’t be put into a queue made the difference." Paylocity clients appreciate average call wait times that average just 20 seconds, and its award-winning customer service delivers an 85% first contact resolution rate.
With a software marketplace used by more than 60 million software buyers annually, G2 is the definitive online destination to discover, review and manage the technology that businesses need to reach their potential. Its annual Best Software List ranks the world’s best software companies and products based on authentic, timely reviews from real users. As part of the annual awards, Paylocity was recognized for:

Product Highlights
Paylocity delivers leading tools to help businesses of all sizes automate processes, attract and retain talent, and build better workplaces. Last year, it launched the Modern Workforce Index (MWI), a proprietary HR intelligence dashboard that gives leaders insight into employee sentiment, performance metrics and engagement. With MWI, clients can benchmark themselves against industry peers and get customized recommendations to improve their scores and optimize company health. “MWI is extremely holistic and powerful,” says Mike Cameron, Global HR Director at Ungerboeck Software. “We want people to onboard and stay, so being able to measure something like sentiment is really important. Paylocity helps us automate manual tasks, save time for our HR team and our employees, plus improve our decision-making with data and reporting.”
As companies look for ways to attract and retain talent, another facet of employee experience is creating a welcoming environment for employees to bring their whole selves to work. Paylocity has added a range of enhancements across its platform to help inform and equip client diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) efforts. These tools provide HR professionals with data-driven insights to better understand their workforces’ needs, foster a more inclusive employee experience, and measure impact. A recent study of job seekers reported that three-fourths felt a diverse workforce was an important factor when evaluating companies and job offers.
One company using data-driven insights for change is NWEA , a research-based, not-for-profit with more than 1,100 employees. NWEA supports students and educators worldwide by creating assessment solutions to precisely measure growth and proficiency. “Our DEI team can use Data Insights to track retention and hiring data, ensuring all people have equal access to opportunities at NWEA and a work environment that sets them up to succeed,” said Jaime Freeman, Director of HR Operations and Total Rewards for NWEA. Additionally, the nonprofit saved 1,200 hours of staff time per year with Paylocity by automating its HR functions, which enabled the HR to team focus on strategic initiatives such as DEI.
These product enhancements give clients a leg up against the challenges they face every day as HR professionals. This impact is visible on sites like G2 where clients leave product reviews. Paylocity has received more than 1,900 reviews and an average 4.5/5.0 rating from actual users.
“As we continue to accelerate rapid growth, our online marketplace boasts 100,000+ software and services companies in 2,000+ categories and over 1.5 million trusted user reviews. Simply put, G2 is where you go for software,” said Godard Abel, co-founder and CEO, G2. “Our annual Best Software List aims to guide buyers on their purchasing decisions, knowing they can trust in the credibility and objectivity of our scoring algorithms. We applaud those companies named to our 2022 list, as they’ve earned the satisfaction among their customers as well as an impressive market presence.”
The top 100 software sellers are ranked based on a combination of Satisfaction and Market Presence scores for each seller, and the top 100 products are ranked based on reviews across all categories they are a part of. To be included in one of G2’s Software Sellers or Software Products “Best Of” lists, a software seller or product must receive at least 50 approved and published reviews during the 2021 calendar year. Scores reflect only data from reviews submitted during this evaluation period.
