Paylocity strives to create an organizational culture where every employee has a voice, feels truly welcomed, appreciated, free to be their whole self, and is empowered and enabled to do their best work.
At Paylocity, we embrace and encourage our employees’ differences in age, culture, ethnicity, family, marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion or spiritual belief, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, veteran status, and other characteristics that make our employees unique. We cultivate these differences in employee experiences, perspectives, talents, and approaches to drive innovation in the software and services we provide our customers.
Our DEIA statement and initiatives are applicable to our practices regarding recruitment and selection; compensation and benefits; professional development and training; promotions; transfers; social and recreational programs; disciplinary actions; organizational restructures; terminations; and the ongoing development of a work environment built on the premise of full diversity equity.
DEIA Journey
The Path Forward Together
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) is a journey and every day we are paving the path forward together through intentional actions. Learn about the steps we're taking to build a better tomorrow for Paylocity, our clients, our local communities, and beyond.
“We recognize we don't have all the answers, but we accept the responsibility that we can't wait for the perfect solution – action is necessary, right now."
Our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Journey
Transparency is a crucial part of our DEIA journey. That's why we share annual data so our employees, clients, and partners can see where we stand. Our progress will continue to be rooted in intentional action together, not tokenism. Our goal isn't about reaching a certain number - it's about building the most inclusive culture possible, filled with talented and amazing people.
We Champion Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Accessibility
Our differences make us unique, and we actively support these differences through our various DEIA programs. We work to create communities within Paylocity through our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Affinity Groups. These groups are organized around shared characteristics, interests, and life experiences to provide employees the opportunity to build connections, have their ideas and feedback heard, and shape our policies, practices, and culture to make a difference at work and within the community.
Championing LGBTQIAP+ awareness, education, events, and major initiatives while serving as a resource to our employees and the organization to improve our culture and communities.

A Statement from Our CEO
Over the past few weeks, I’ve engaged in honest conversations within our Paylocity family. I’ve learned a great deal and am deeply moved by the harsh realities of systemic racism and its disproportionate, negative impact on the Black community throughout our history and today.
By listening to those who’ve had a different set of experiences shape their lives, I’ve broadened my perspective, deepened my understanding, and strengthened my resolve to create meaningful change at Paylocity and in the world. These conversations were difficult, uncomfortable, and crucial for real change. We’ve made encouraging progress on our journey to be more diverse and inclusive, but it isn’t enough. I’m committed to take action for diversity, inclusion, and equality by exhibiting behaviors we want to see in the world around us, and by ensuring a safe and inclusive environment at Paylocity. We all deserve dignity and respect. To be clear, we have zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind.
We recognize we don't have all the answers, but we accept the responsibility that we can’t wait for the perfect solution – action is necessary, right now. We’ll talk, listen, and gather feedback as we move through this together. We must stand as one and accept nothing less than a future of equality for all. I pledge to do my part, and I’m confident we’ll all take an active role and do anything we can to make this company, this country, and the world a better place, one day at a time.
Over the next couple weeks, we’ll form the Diversity & Inclusion Council to support and partner with Employee Resource Group leaders and executive sponsors, to further educate and influence change. We’ll also hire a chief diversity officer to join the leadership team within the next six months. We’ll provide unconscious bias training to all managers/leaders and employees by the end of 2020.
We’ll continue to facilitate conversations to listen and learn from our Black employees through focus groups over the next 30 days. We’re in a unique position to affect so many people, from everyone here at Paylocity, to our clients and their employees. We acknowledge change needs to happen, and accept the responsibility to lead change at Paylocity and in our communities.
