The Senior Analyst Sales Analytics is a key member of the Sales Analytics team assisting with the ongoing review of key sales performance metrics and sales strategic initiatives. They have direct communication with senior sales leadership, as well as regular interaction with the CEO and CFO.


Position Overview 

The Client Funds Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring all client funds accounts for Paylocity are reconciled and client funds settle as intended while mitigating risks in addition to managing a set of professionals to meet daily company deadlines.   


Performance Objectives 

The below represents the primary responsibilities of the position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.  

  • Protect client held funds and manage reconciliation processes to ensure all account balances are accurate while risks and potential losses are identified and mitigated.  Coach the team to problem solve through complex issues.    
  • Manage and mentor a staff of professionals, including managing assignments to maximize productivity and developmental opportunities  
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to increase information sharing and problem solving and implement enhancements and new technology  
  • Leads and prioritizes team projects and initiatives for process improvements and automations. 
  • Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objective 
  • Plans assignments for a successful month-end close, prepares monthly reconciliations, and reports Revenue in client funds accounts to Corporate Accounting. 
  • Review aging issues that are outstanding or need to be escalated to ensure the company is not at risk. Determine whether additional departmental escalation need to be made to close out items. 
  • Manage department procedures to comply with standard operating procedures and Sarbanes Oxley.  Provide SOC/SOX walkthroughs and supporting documentation needed by auditors 
  • Review Daily and Weekly reconciliation for payroll/tax/benefit accounts  
  • Review and approve Client Credits 
  • Other duties and ad hoc projects, as assigned 

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years’ experience in a payroll service or banking/tax operations  
  • 3+ years in service bureau or company account reconciliations 
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred  
  • MasterTax Software experience a plus 
  • Intermediate to advanced level experience in MS applications including Excel and Access 
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills 
  • Highly organized and able to multitask within a deadline-driven environment 

 Physical requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.

• Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The pay range for this position is $65,000-$95,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
