Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic senior social media specialist to focus on our company's organic social media initiatives including strategy, content, engagement, and optimization across all platforms. In addition to promoting social media, this individual will also support public relations and analyst relations efforts to enhance overall brand awareness and reputation. As part of these responsibilities, this individual will play a crucial role in crisis communications, mitigating potential damage and protecting the company's reputation, primarily across social channels. The ideal candidate will be a creative storyteller with a deep understanding of social media best practices and analytics, public relations strategies, and brand communication.

  • Work closely with leadership to develop an organic social media strategy that aligns with Paylocity’s key business and marketing objectives
  • Generate engaging platform-specific copy and content ideas to increase followers and engagement.
  • Monitor social media channels and mobile app stores, initiate conversations with and respond to complaints referencing our brand from end-users, customers, and competitors.
  • Support crisis communication management by implementing the crisis comms playbook to resolve potential crises on social media or mitigate their impact.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging best practices in social media, PR, and AR.
  • Occasional travel for content capture might be required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Social Media, or related field
  • 3-5 years B2B marketing experience in social media management, and marketing communications required
  • Superior communication skills; the ability to write original content; proven proficiency in copywriting and editing
  • Organized, detail-oriented and highly motivated, with project management experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Highly reliable and accountable to achieve deadlines, working with multiple team members across different departments, while managing multiple projects
  • Must be a self-starter and problem solver, not afraid to ask questions
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Sprout Social or other social media management platforms (Khoros, HootSuite, Sprinklr, etc.)

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $62,000 - $88,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
