The Department of Labor announced the proposed changes to the overtime threshold, also known as the salary basis test, will be posted to the federal register in May 2023. Employers have been patiently waiting for this guidance since April 2022. Still, this is only a proposal, so there's no telling what may happen once it goes through the necessary legal channels. Until then, we’ll cover the key facts so you can plan for its potential impact.

Join our host Shari Simpson and guest Corinne Tirone as they discuss the DOL proposal. Corinne Tirone is the Director of Government Relations here at Paylocity. Corinne is an attorney with over 12 years of experience in legal research and payroll and HR compliance. Her focus is monitoring the legislative landscape at the federal, state, and local levels to help inform the organization's development projects, compliance strategy, and risk mitigation plans. In addition, Corinne serves on the board of the National Payroll Reporting Consortium and leverages strong relationships with agencies and industry groups to stay informed of regulatory trends and changing compliance requirements.
