Thomas Carnahan discusses how employers are seeking easier ways to identify successful candidates and automate the hiring process. From conducting job analyses to searching LinkedIn profiles and conducting general Google searches, AI technology is being used to identify potential applicants. While AI may not be ready for Skynet just yet, employers need to be mindful of setting boundaries for this technology in recruitment.
Thomas is responsible for managing Berkshire’s pay equity line of business by promoting the ability to conduct meaningful, statistical analyses of clients’ compensation data to ensure fair pay and in support of federal, state, and/or local fair pay laws. With more than 15 years of experience in research methodology, data analysis, and HR process development, Thomas brings to Berkshire advanced-level data capabilities and an extensive background that will serve to enhance our pay equity solutions. Thomas holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Capella University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western Kentucky University.
