Fully Remote (U.S. Only): This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements.  You must be available five days per week during designated work hours.  The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. This may include adjustments to on-site requirements or schedule expectations, as necessary.  


Position Overview 

Has full responsibility for the Implementation Experience of Paylocity’s largest, most complex clients as the subject matter expert. Effectively and efficiently deploy Paylocity software to our customers working as a key member of the Implementation team and support customers during Implementation primarily onsite at the client location, with remote capabilities. Areas of focus include teaching our Client Admins/End Users how to effectively utilize and administer their Paylocity products and applications and guide clients/end users through first payroll process. In addition, responsible for a key piece of large client retention efforts as well as prospect activity.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a seamless onboarding experience for complex clients and their extended organization while onsite – potential to be in front of large groups of individuals (supervisors or end users) and responsible for an effective adoption of PCTY products  
  • Assist in prospective client efforts – both virtual and on site - to understand client needs and deliver solutions with industry leading customer service  
  • Ability to manage each client’s onsite visit – creating/executing agenda specific to client needs, making discretionary decisions where applicable and following up to ensure success  
  • Lead onsite planning to include in depth, stakeholder huddles to determine client temperature, needs for the visit, and logistical planning  
  • Support the Implementation Consultant/Project Manager in setup and maintenance of clients in Implementation as needed, typically during high volume and non-travel periods  
  • Use a project management and consultative approach to promote an integrated implementation across all products  
  • Facilitate the entry of previous payroll provider data  
  • Maintain SME level knowledge of Paylocity products and partnerships to ensure clients and their end users realize maximum benefit of our system – main products supported include HR and Payroll, Time and Labor, and Paylocity’s HR Product Suite  
  • Facilitate training efforts, first payroll support, and recovery and retention efforts on site with new and existing clients of Paylocity  
  • Identify and document potential improvements to Paylocity procedures such as training, documentation and system enhancements to increase client and employee retention and satisfaction  
  • Creating and deliver instructional content as applicable for the client and their end users  
  • Attend key milestones within Implementation process for clients within the onsite pipeline  
  • Mentor and coach peers – assist with onboarding of new consultants  
  • Travel up to 50% required. Occasional travel on weekends.  
  • All other duties as assigned  

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a client facing role  
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll, benefits or as a payroll/HR/Benefits Administrator  
  • Project Management Experience  
  • Successful experience in escalations and at-risk client retention efforts  
  • Outstanding QA Track Record  
  • Proficient in SQL, MS Access or Excel  
  • Ability to present HR data effectively  
  • Possesses strong leadership ability  
  • Physical requirements 
  • Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day. 
  • Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The base pay range for this position is $53,800 - $100,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position offers a full range of benefits outlined here.
