Position Overview
Product management is the function that guides every step of a product’s lifecycle — by focusing on the product and its customers first and foremost. Product Managers identify the most valuable problems to solve, enable their team to ship and iterate high-quality solutions quickly, and validate market impact. They leverage customer insights to deeply understand their problems, define the correct backlog priorities and create a clear Product brief.
This is a central role on a cross-functional product team, owning the discovery, definition, and delivery of product solutions that drive measurable customer and business value. This role works independently to lead feature discovery, evaluate tradeoffs, and drive product initiatives from concept to launch—ensuring product utilization leads to tangible customer outcomes and business
impact. This role requires strong business acumen and the ability to connect product utilization and adoption to meaningful customer and organizational outcomes. Success in this role requires deep domain expertise and technical feasibility, along with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results.

- Lead the development and execution of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer outcomes, and security standards
- Prioritize features based on their value to customers, compliance with internal standards, and alignment with product strategy
- Make informed tradeoff decisions to balance customer value, technical feasibility, and security or compliance requirements
- Act as a dedicated customer advocate, proactively gathering and synthesizing feedback to shape product direction
- Establish regular feedback loops with internal and external customers to ensure product solutions evolve alongside user needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders—including Engineering, Design, Marketing, and external partners—to ensure effective execution, transparency, and alignment
- Leverage data and performance metrics to drive prioritization, assess product health, and inform strategy
- Continuously evaluate product and roadmap performance, adjusting direction as needed
- to stay aligned with customer and market needs
- Ensure clear communication and stakeholder alignment, integrating customer requirements into sprint planning and product releases
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships to champion the product vision, remove roadblocks, and drive accountability
- Take a results-oriented approach to product lifecycle management, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ yrs experience in a Product Manager role with a proven track record of driving product strategies and delivering successful outcomes.
- Strong ability to define and execute product roadmaps, prioritizing features based on customer needs, business goals, and security standards.
- Proven customer advocacy skills, with experience engaging directly with customers to gather feedback and translate it into actionable product improvements.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to leverage metrics and insights to inform product decisions and strategy.
- Solid understanding of security standards and their application within product management.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make tradeoff decisions in fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess product viability, market fit, and customer impact.
- A passion for creating products that meet customer needs while ensuring high standards for quality, security, and performance.
- Strong interpersonal skills: you will need to develop strong relationships with software and software test engineers, designers, operations, sales, marketing, and other internal key partners
- Superior attention to detail with excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
- Must be able to collaborate with team to encourage and motivate team members to produce and deliver on objectives
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Scrum Product Owner certification preferred
- Deep domain expertise in payroll, benefits, time & labor, or human capital management preferred
Physical requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
- Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.
