Position Overview
This role is responsible for maintaining Paylocity’s employee-focused culture by planning and executing on events and employee engagement opportunities that build and strengthen Paylocity’s culture


Primary Responsibilities

  • Takes complete ownership of the event planning process from intake, detailing, follow-up with coordinators, room set-up, and day of execution and closing out of the events 
  • Work closely with DEIA, CSR, and ERG Program Managers to understand Paylocity’s DEIA and CSR objectives and curate company-wide events to help drive objectives
  • Lead Paylocity’s Culture Crew program, a volunteer employee group that supports on-site and virtual event initiatives, and ensure all events align with and drive company culture and employee engagement
  • Remain in-tune with the pulse of the business and Paylocity’s employees to provide recommendations on how to strengthen company culture
  • With oversight and direction from Director of DEIA/CSR, collaborate with Paylocity’s internal and external communications teams, to align Paylocity’s culture strategy with Paylocity branding and communication
  • Act as a project manager to oversee programming and events that support culture-building and ensure alignment with Paylocity's voice, values, and strategy
  • Monitor and track metrics to measure events’ impact to the business and department strategic goals
  • Provide leadership, support, and guidance to the Culture & Engagement and DEIA Coordinators/Specialists
  • Sources external event sites 
  • Negotiates resort/hotel contracts and seeks out most favorable terms with resorts/hotels for events? 
  • Negotiates audio/visual, transportation, events activities, restaurants, and all other preferred vendor’s contract 
  • Travel as necessary for event production, manage schedules and budget related to event travel 
  • Manages communications with stakeholders and facilities team 
  • Conducts weekly event meetings with stakeholders 
  • Manages multiple events at a time (internal and external)? 
  • Produce new program ideas, event themes, and activations for internal stakeholders to implement? 
  • Build and manage partner relationships including identifying experiences, opportunities for improvement, and developing new programs that can be tailored to future events 
  • Other duties as assigned 

   

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field is preferred 
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in luxury hospitality, large scale hotel/resorts, event planning, or related field 
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience for hourly and salary level employees 
  • Strong business acumen and excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Outstanding people skills and ability to be flexible and adaptable 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task - ability to meet deadlines 
  • Ability to think quickly and efficiently when confronted with requests 
  • Self-starter, motivated, takes initiative, and anticipates needs of others 
  • General tech-savviness, specifically MS Office applications, iOS applications 
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on events booked; occasional evenings; travel to key offsites 
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills

 This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $83,000-$110,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
