As a Frontend Engineering Manager II, you will lead a team of frontend engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project goals, establish best practices, and drive technical excellence. Your role will involve mentoring and coaching team members, providing technical guidance, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. You will also be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of frontend projects, managing resources, and effectively communicating with stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Engineering is the function that applies principles and techniques of engineering, mathematics, and computer/data science to the design, development, and testing of applications. The Product & Technology engineering family consists of software development, testing, database, devops, virtualization & network.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of frontend software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their professional growth and development.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines for frontend development projects.

• Drive the technical direction and architectural decisions for frontend software development, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives.

• Establish and maintain best practices for frontend development, including coding standards, code reviews, testing methodologies, and documentation.

• Monitor and report on the progress of frontend development projects, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may impact delivery timelines or quality.

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the frontend development team.


Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on frontend technologies.

• 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role, leading teams of frontend software engineers.

• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular frameworks like React - preferred, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Strong understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred.

• Experience with backend technologies and full-stack development is a plus.
