Schedule: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week onsite 

Position Overview
The Senior Manager – Revenue Controller position is responsible for overseeing compliance with US GAAP for revenue recognition including application of US GAAP concepts to an evolving business environment.  This position requires the ability to research revenue accounting implications of a scaling customer base, new go to market strategies and evolving customer contracts and provide input and recommendations to the business.  Also, the position will be responsible for overseeing the execution of monthly and quarterly revenue accounting. Managing a team of up to 6, the Senior Manager will provide leadership to achieve desired results and enable the continued growth in the Company.  
Responsibilities

  • Lead the Company’s revenue accounting function team with overall responsibility to ensure compliance with ASC 606, related 10-Q and 10-K disclosure requirements, and relevant SOX internal controls.
  • Actively partner with key business stakeholders to stay current on business initiatives including go-to-market strategies.  Particularly, work proactively with sales, channels and legal on how best to structure revenue arrangements to drive positive business outcomes across the Company.     
  • Lead, build, manage, support, and mentor the revenue team. Manage team development, cultivate individual talents, and build strong relationships that facilitate team success. Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
  • Participate in key strategic initiatives and assist with other ad hoc projects.
  • Participate in diligence activities for acquisitions to evaluate key revenue accounting considerations and impacts to overall accounting practices. 
  • Oversight of post-close revenue integration activities for acquisitions.
  • Drive a continuous improvement mindset through identifying automation opportunities, process improvements or improved reporting capabilities to support decision making across the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in accounting, including Big 4 accounting firm experience
  • Proven process for performing complex technical research and analysis from the problem definition stage through facilitating the integration of any new processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience managing teams/personnel
  • Strong attention to detail
